Although George joined AMD Environmental in April 2022, he had worked in partnership with the AMDe team for many years. The success of the Alliance Framework delivering Mechanical, Electrical & Data Services work to a common financial client was attributed to all members working collaboratively. All partners shared the same client focused values, delivery models and innovative deliverables. Integration was encouraged by the client team and through knowledge sharing and commercial openness George saw the benefits of working together.
Starting his career in 1976 George served his apprenticeship as a heating engineer at Balfour Kilpatrick, In 1988 he joined Thermal Transfer where the focus was on end user clients in the pharmaceutical, clean room and process engineering sectors. When TT were sold to a multi-national energy provider George moved on with his team to start the development of the mechanical business for Arthur McKay in 2003.
In his “45 plus” years in the industry George has witnessed many changes in technology and innovative delivery methods, including many energy efficient and sustainable developments.
He remains client focused and passionate on leadership values and helping develop his team to maximise their potential.
