Project Description

Nationwide Building Society Kingston Acquisition

Project Name: Nationwide Building Society Kingston Acquisition

Client: ISG

Duration: 12 Weeks

This project required designing, installation and commission of a full MEP system at Nationwide’s new Flagship branch, located within the heart of Kingston-Upon-Thames.

A Comprehensive System

Newly installed systems included the following:

  • Newly fully automated BMS system controlling all AC, Ventilation and Lighting
  • New VRF AC system
  • MVHR’s to both ground and first floors with a separate WC extract system
  • A new UKPN main incoming supply, metering, all main and sub distribution
  • New small power and scene lighting to Nationwide Specification
  • Data installation
  • All new public health systems and sanitaryware
  • New addressable Fire alarm and disabled refuge systems

The branch itself was an open ceiling concept within the banking hall area, so M&E coordination was a critical feature.

A Challenging Bank Project

Due to the location of the branch, space for external was at a premium, therefore the VRF system was placed onto the roof.

The landlord had installed the roof before works commenced. There were warranty concerns surrounding penetrations for ductwork, therefore we had to closely coordinate the location of internal MVHR’s, as well as achieving acceptable internal noise criteria both of which were met.

The client provided overall good feedback, scoring 96 from a possible 100 awarded to AMD from ISG.
